Mine Reclamation and Care & Maintenance

Nuna’s experience in mine reclamation and care & maintenance stems from our involvement in major Canadian Arctic mine developments and exploration programs. Our management team and experienced northern operation personnel have over 100 years of combined experience in the design and execution of remote Arctic mine developments and reclamation projects. These projects include the Port Radium, Pine Point, and Giant mines in the Northwest Territories, Canada.

Nuna, meaning “land” in Inuktitut, understands and adheres to the strict environmental regulations that govern the reclamation of mine sites, including the handling of hazardous materials such as hydrocarbon contaminated soils and reagents, tailings reclamation, and site rehabilitation. Our site-specific procedures are based on our Integrated Health, Safety, and Environment Management System.
